Hot Tang Lemonade

Image via Flickr

1 jar (10 oz) Tang orange powder
2 ounces Lemonade powder
2 cups Sugar
2 teaspoons Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Cloves
Add 2-3 teaspoons to a cup of hot water
Store mix in air tight container
I had my first son on Christmas morning ( what a birthday huh?! ), and the nurses brought me in some of the Hot Tang Lemonade they were having at their Christmas potluck. I will never forget how wonderful it tasted. Every year when it starts to get really cold outside I start craving it. It is a great alternative to tea or coffee. You can also package it up in a mason jar add a cute tag with directions and use it as a holiday party favor or gift. You should definitely treat yourself to really is YUMMY!

Painted Pumpkins

Looking for a quick last minute kids Halloween project? How about painting pumpkins! We picked up some mini pumpkins last week at Safeway for only $0.79 then I grabbed some paint sets at the Dollar Store which are incredibly user friendly for the kids. They would make a great craft project at a kids Halloween party too. Even my 2 yr old got in on the fun. They were really fun to make and they look super cute up on the mantle.

P.S. Sorry for the lack of posts, we unfortunately had to spend some time in the hospital with our youngest son. Thankfully it wasn't to serious and he's home and doing much better!

{ Baby Shower Monday } Candy Pacifiers

I think these lifesaver pacifiers are too cute! And, they are versatile. They could be used as favors, cupcake toppers, drink charms or simply placed in candy dishes around the party. They are made using white lifesaver mints, royal icing, and jelly bellies. You can view directions for assembly here.

Fall isn't just about crisp air, caramel apples, and Halloween. It's also a time for great Baseball!! We are big Yankee fans and couldn't be happier with their clinch of the ALDS last night. Here are a couple of baseball inspired treats you could make for the upcoming American League Championship Series.

Scary Skull Cake

This is a great Halloween cake that anyone with an oven could make. Seriously! Wilton came out with a 3 D pan and some super easy frosting ideas.

This first guy is frosted using a heavy glaze made of whole milk and powdered sugar. Two ingredients!! You just pour it on and smooth it over with a wet spatula. Add some black gel frosting and voila!

This guy is simply baked and dusted with powdered sugar. Come on girls it doesn't get any easier!
